Your Sculptra® journey begins with a detailed consultation to assess your skin and facial volume needs. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to achieve natural, lasting results. To minimize bruising, avoid blood thinners or supplements like aspirin and fish oil for several days before your appointment—unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
Treatment sessions typically last 45 minutes. A topical numbing cream or ice may be applied beforehand to enhance comfort. Using a fine needle, your provider injects Sculptra® beneath the skin in targeted areas. You may feel light pressure or mild pinching during the injections. Most patients tolerate the procedure well without sedation.
Mild swelling, redness, or bruising can occur but usually subsides within a few days. You may notice some firmness in treated areas, which is normal as collagen production begins. To support optimal results, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and vigorous facial massage for 24–48 hours. Results build gradually over weeks to months, with effects lasting up to two years.
