Tell us if you’ve had cosmetic treatments on your face, neck, or chin, or if you have medical conditions affecting these areas.
Inform us about any swallowing issues, bleeding disorders, or blood-thinning medications. Avoid treatment if you’re pregnant or nursing.
Take ibuprofen the morning of your appointment if you tolerate it and notify your provider about any allergies to lidocaine or epinephrine.
Your provider will administer Kybella injections into the targeted fat beneath the chin or neck using a fine needle.
The procedure involves multiple small injections and may cause some discomfort or a burning sensation during treatment.
The session typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes depending on the area treated. Your provider will monitor your comfort and adjust as needed to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Avoid touching or massaging the area. Ice the treated area in 20-minute intervals for 24 hours. Use Arnica gel and take pain relievers if needed.
Sleep with your head elevated for 3–5 days. Avoid exercise, sun, heat, alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners for several days.
Avoid other cosmetic treatments near the area until cleared by your provider.
Contact your provider if you experience facial weakness, uneven smile, ulcers, difficulty swallowing, or worsening symptoms.
