Avoid retinols, exfoliants, and harsh actives for 3–5 days and stay out of direct sun exposure. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin, and be sure to stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.
A numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort. The microneedling pen is then gently passed over the treatment area, creating controlled microchannels. You may feel light pressure or a mild scratching sensation. If you’re receiving PRP or other boosters, they are applied at this stage and absorbed into the skin. Treatment time typically ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
It’s normal to experience mild redness, tightness, or warmth, which usually subsides within 24 to 72 hours. Avoid makeup, sweating, and active skincare products for the first 24 hours, and follow all aftercare instructions carefully. Use gentle cleansers, hydrating moisturizers, and mineral SPF to protect your skin. Visible results will continue to improve in the weeks following treatment.
